Donate Today & help feed those in Need!

We are a Non-Profit agency

Thanks to the generous donation of time by over 200 volunteers the Tri-Cities Food Bank has served residents of Benton County in need since 1975. Financial and food donations come from scores of individuals and caring businesses. Financial donations go directly to operation of our wholly owned food distribution facilities, central office, warehouse, and vehicle fleet to directly serve our clients. We couldn’t do what we do, without you – thank you!

Services

Needy families may receive food as often as once every two weeks. At each visit, a family is provided with up to a week’s supply of groceries. To qualify as a food bank recipient, we request a statement of need (a form you will sign here – not something you bring), along with the following: * A valid photo ID (drivers license etc.) to establish identity * A current piece of mail to establish residency in our service area (current utility bill, rent receipt, letter, etc., must have your name and address). * The names and birth dates of all who reside in your household you wish to claim for food service.  We do not require proof of income, ever. A family representative is interviewed at each visit to the food bank. A computer record is maintained for the family address and the size and makeup of the family.
Cash and credit donations are always acceptable and appreciated. Checks should be made out to the Tri-Cities Food Bank.  When needed, the Tri-Cities Food Bank can purchase items at a reduced cost.  Donors may also identify Tri-Cities Food Bank on their United Way donor card.  The PayPal link to the right is always available. To donate money or food in person, please stop by any of our locations during operating hours or call (509) 582-0411. For fastest processing, checks to be mailed should be sent to our Central Office at 420 W Deschutes Ave, Kennewick WA 99336. To donate in honor or memory of someone special, or a special event, please note that with your donation (if donating through PayPal, use the “note” field) and we will recognize that in our newsfeed on this website. As always, thank you for your donations!

Volunteer

Volunteers are needed in a number of capacities, including forklift operators and pickup truck drivers, the pantry/food assembly area, and up front with customers each day the food bank is open.  Service hours are the published open times, with an additional two hours preparation time before opening and an hour after closing time for clean-up.  Our most CRITICAL need is for pickup drivers to pick up donations from local stores, including on weekends and days the food banks are closed (the food bank has pick-up trucks available for this purpose).  Warehouse work includes handling boxes and bags up to 50 pounds, and sorting of incoming canned goods donations.  Often volunteers will work one or two or more days each week, or agree to be on call as needed.
