Tri-Cities Food Bank response to Coronavirus
The Food banks will be open as normally scheduled. We recognize that it is essential that services must be maintained in the best interest of our customers and community.
The Tri-Cities Food Bank is monitoring news and is following the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines to appropriately respond to the potential health threat posed by the virus. This includes:
• Increased disinfecting/cleaning all surfaces and obtain additional cleaning supplies as quickly as store stocks allow.
• Requiring all staff and volunteers to stay home if onset of any cold or flu symptomatic conditions.
• Staff and volunteer washing hands frequently with anti-bacterial soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Note, our staff has required food handling certification and the additional cleansing is in addition to that required by certification.
• Hand Sanitizing Stations have always been in place and are constantly monitored for refill.
At this time the Food Banks are asking that anyone not feeling well, not enter the buildings. Please remain outside and a staff member will bring food to you. (Por favor no entre al edificio, si se siente enfermo. Nosotros le ayudaremos afuera de el edificio. Gracias)
